Originally released as a B side on the Her Confession single, James and J.D. put their hair-metal heads together and collaborated on a true rock masterpiece. The song was recorded in the living room where J.D. and James lived in College. Originally a secret track on "Somewhere Under Bethel", the song quickly gained popularity from live performances. The sexy voice at the beginning is Katie Gammon, who was attending Ball State at the time.
"I wrote this infamous song back in my college days. I was sitting in my Sexual Psychology class when I decided it was time to write a song. I was inspired by the lecture at the time and quickly jotted down the lyrics to Take It Hot. After receiving approval by my friend Dave who was sitting right next to me, I quickly showed the lyrics to JD and asked him to write the most generic 80’s metal riff ever to go with the words. Before long, the sexy anthem was born and it continues to titillate the fans of Blue Luster." - James Yarnelle
