The Scientist Requiem (Part III)
( Patrick E. O'Connor ) from The Difference: Parts I,II,III,IV

During the band's breakup, Pat kept writing music not knowing if he would ever play live again. Originally intended to be a solo project under his own terms, Pat put together what's known in the music world as a "Concept Album." The four songs featured in this mi-co album (mini concept album) are a departure from the usual writing style the O'Connor is known for. This (The Difference: Part III) is the only acoustic song in Blue Luster's catalog. The band has performed this only once, for their CD release party at Radio Radio.

"Imagine that one man's discovery changed how 70% of the world views the way they live. Again I can't go into details, but just listen closely and you'll get the picture." -Patrick E. O'Connor

IN SILENCE I WONDER, THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT
TO BELIEVE, TO BELONG, WHAT’S WRONG OR WHAT’S RIGHT
THE HEAVENS HAVE CLOSED UP, ON THE LIGHT OF THIS WORLD
SO EMPTY AND ALONE, THE DARKNESS UNFURLES

CHOURS
MAYBE WE SLEEP SOUND TONIGHT
AND IN THE MORNING WE SEE NEW LIGHT
BUT NOW IT SEEMS ALL HOPE IS LOST
AND NOW THE DIFFERENCE IS WHAT IT COSTS

THE WILLOWS ANDVINE TREES, STILL LOOK THE SAME
THE SUNLIGHT THE MOONLIGHT SEEM TO REARANGE
THIS ERRIE FEELING, COLD BREATH ON MY NECK
THE CHILLING AND HAUNTING, LIGHT TURNING BLACK

CHORUS

I TRUSTED I BELIVED, IN ALL THAT THEY’VE SAID
NOW I CAN’T GET, THIS BURNING OUT OF MY HEAD
ARE YOU THERE, CAN YOU SEE, ALL THAT WE’VE DONE
DO I STAY OR JUST MOVE, WITH MY LIFE ON THE RUN
