2010 Summer Forecast: HOTTER THAN HELL!!!
The band has been talking about this summer since January 1. 2010 is looking to be our most sucessful year to date. I can't tell you how excited we all are. Not only did we add one of the greatest guitar players in the midwest, but we get to open up for flippin' Night Ranger! We're anticipating to be playing in front of 5,000-10,000 depending on the weather. Easily the most people we've played in front of...EVER! This summer is also giving us a chance to rock some festivals. Every year, Carmel …
1.29.2010 Blue Luster Versus The Decline Of Western Civilization
Song on iPod: Wild One by Dio Current mood: humbled...and opinionated I'm writing this blog with a sense of excitement and uncertainty. There are so many things swirling around in my head right now, I feel dizzy. Or maybe it's this permanent Magnum 44 red marker I keep smelling. So addictive. Any who, we're barely a month into 2010 and I have so many things going on. I'm getting a new job (same company), Colts are in the Super Bowl again, and Blue Luster is gaining some momentum that I haven't felt in a …
12.15.09 New Year and Cheap Beer
mood: Groggy Current song on iPod: The Flame by W.A.S.P. and Holy Wars by Megadeth This will be my last blog for 2009. (tear) Anyways, I guess it's my turn to write a blog, finally. It's kind of hard to top Pat's battle with the devil but I've been fighting my own "demon". For a solid week now, I've had this lingering cold and it's really annoying. My immune system use to be so indestructible, but now it seems like I get sick a little more than usual. This cold couldn't have come at a better …
11.5.09 Old balls
Current mood: Springy Current Song on iTunes: Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath This is my first blog since turning 28 years old. That's right. TWENTY-FLIPPIN'-EIGHT! I sure don't feel like it. Fellow band mate/co-worker/room mate, James also turned 28. We had a chance to see his favorite band, Queensryche, on his birthday. Quite a show. Geoff Tate can still belt the tunes. But enough about James, this blog is about ME. The band is getting ready for our first show in over 2 months. We took some time off …
9.28.09 Venture to the Holy Land
Current mood: Drowsy Song on iTunes: Kicked in the Teeth Again by AC/DC Greetings and salutations, It's been a slow month for Blue Luster. Our bass player, Jake, is getting married in November so we are taking a bit of a break. I hate taking breaks! All I want to do is play live music. I might go insane from lack of rocking. Thank god for other awesome bands to feed my need. Last weekend I ventured to see the band that infected me with the rock n roll bug when I was 14. For the 8th time since 1996, I …
