What Ales Ya?
Those of you who know me know full well that I am a big fan of Ales and Dark Lagers. There is nothing better than opening up a cold bottle of your favorite ale, smelling the aroma and enjoying the sound of hit hitting your pint glass as you slowly pour it in. Excited for the treat to come, you gently swirl a small amount to make sure the delicious sediment is included in your glass. As you pull the glass up to your face, you smell it again. The floral aroma invades your capillaries like a thousand Orcs descending on Minas Tirith. Finally, when you taste the bite of the hops and you feel that subtle burn down your throat, you’re in heaven.
Few things go better with rock and metal than Ales. They say Jack Daniels is the classic rock and roll drink (and I agree as far as liquor) but if I’m hanging out listening to some of my favorite albums and debating the skill levels of guitarists with my friends, I’ll always take a cold pint of Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale, a Longhammer, or even a Hefeweizen such as UFO. It may come as no surprise to you that before he died, Ronnie James Dio was a huge fan of Ales and Dark Beers, how else do you think he got that amazing voice? I’d like to think of him drinking a pint with the devil himself right now. He’s probably telling Lucifer all about what his songs and that “silver linings can disappear, but they always shine.” When I finally get enough money, I plan on forming a partnership with a local brewery to make Blue Luster Ales and Lagers. I would love to be a part of the brewing process and marketing. I will have different kinds of products such as Heavy Metale (the flagship pale ale), Curse of the Czar Russian Imperial Stout, Annaliese Black Ale (a soul crushing Ale with palpable offerings), and Bock n’ Roll (a dark lager), among others. If anyone reads this and would like to discuss this business opportunity more, please let me know. Until then, raise a fist in one hand, a pint in the other, and enjoy the finer things in life. Until next time, Luster fiends! Leave Comment: |
