Blue Luster

Her Confession
( Patrick E. O'Connor) from the Her Confession Single

This is the oldest song in Blue Luster's catalog. The original recording was on the "Somewhere Under Bethel", and was re-recorded along with "Take It Hot" in the middle of James and J.D.'s living room in 2005.

"Well again, I come back to a girl and all the problems that come with having a girl. It's really just a song that deals with a guy holding on to something or someone that is not really there. Or holding something/someone that is not who they say they are. The riff.... two words...... BRU-TAL! I love the solo too. So slow and it builds. It's like a car engine shifting and then finally hitting top speed." -Patrick E. O'Connor

V1
SOMEDAY I HOPE TO RECTIFY
BELIVE ME WHEN I SAY I’LL TRY
UNTILL THEN TRY TO HIDE BEHIND
THE BOOKS THAT HOLD ALL THESE LIES

CHORUS
CONFUSION,REDEMPTION, JUST TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO DO THIS
‘CAUSE MY LOVE IS SO SICKLY, BUT IT’S JUST ME LOVING YOU MADLY

V2
WITH PAIN COMES A TRUST YOU NEED FOR LOVE
AND WITH PAIN YOU KNOW WE’LL RISE ABOVE
LET US BATHE IN OUR OWN CONTEMPTED BLOOD

WHEN THE MEANS DON’T JUSTIFY THE CAUSE
AND IF THE WALLS START TO CRUMBLE ON US
LET US THEN TRY TO JUSTIFY OUR LOVE

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE
BLIND FOLDED,IN A BASEMENT, THAT’S JUST MY KIND OF REPENT
‘CAUSE MY LOVE IS SO NASTY, BUT ITS JUST ME DRIVING YOU CRAZY

REPEAT CHORUS

    • Actually Frank Frazetta has paintings on at least two Molly Hatchet albums. Also on the first Wolfmother album.
