Blue Luster

All The Same
( Brake / O'Connor) from the album Blue Luster

All The Same deals with different subject matter than what is found in other Blue Luster songs. It was written before the old band went into the studio at Ball State back 2005. Originally written by James and JD, the song seemed a little cliché and predictable. A friend of JD suggested that the song styling sounded "all the same". Going back to the drawing board, a new concept was conceived:
“I felt an urge to write about something close to my heart.”
Being a Christian, JD wanted to write a song about his faith and a message of hope for those who are lost and searching for something more in life. “It doesn’t matter if you’re addicted to drugs and don’t have a home or have endless wealth and endless unhappiness, truth will set you free.”

V1
FOUGHT TO WALK ALONE, FAR AWAY FROM HOME
FEAR AND DOUBT IS RISING, CAPSISING

COMPLACIANT AND CONFUSED, THE BOTTLE’S WHAT YOU CHOOSE
MAKE THE PILL YOUR MASTER,DIE FASTER

PC/CHORUS
ONLY TRUTH CAN SET YOU FREE
‘CAUSE IT’S ALL THE SAME, IT’S ALL THE SAME TO ME

V2
MAKE IT ON YOUR OWN, SITTING ON YOUR THRONE
POWER’S SO DECIEVING, UNBELIEVING
FEELING UNFULLFILLED, NOW THE BLOOD WILL SPILL
DROWNING IN FRUSTRATION, FIND SALVATION

PC/CHORUS

    • Actually Frank Frazetta has paintings on at least two Molly Hatchet albums. Also on the first Wolfmother album.
